Grand Chief of the Dene Nation Gerald Antoine

T Gerald Antoine was born and raised at Gahtthiah, twenty-four miles upriver from the community of Łı́ ́ıdlı̨ı̨ Kų́ę́ in Denendeh (Northwest Territories). He is one of thirteen children born to Cecile and William Antoine. Both his grandfathers, Ehthelo and Nahkek’o, were present when Treaty 11 was made in 1921.

Minister Shane Thompson

Shane Thompson was re-elected to the 19th Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly representing the constituency of Nahendeh. Mr. Thompson was first elected to the 18th Assembly in November 2015 and served as Chair of the Standing Committee on Social Development. Mr. Thompson was also a member of the Standing Committee on Priorities and Planning, the Standing Committee on Rules and Procedures, and the Striking Committee.

Thorsten Gohl

Thorsten Gohl, who is an Arctic Winter Games and Canada Games coach, has been involved with table tennis in the Northwest Territories for the last eight years. During this time, he has been preparing athletes for multi-sport games nationally and internationally and working with over 15 communities in the Northwest Territories through Table Tennis North’s outreach program. Thorsten participates in the planning for the Hockey & Table Tennis program as well as coaching the sessions with the athletes and taking part in the evaluation.

Dr. Leigh Vanderloo

Ken Zolotar

Ken Zolotar is the Manager of Stakeholder Relations at ParticipACTION. Ken works to coordinate cross sectoral efforts to support health equity seeking groups through his involvement with the ParticipACTION Advisory Network, Common Vision Champion Group, and Fall Prevention working group. Ken is a proud father husband and father who enjoys being outdoors teaching his new puppy how to jog alongside him.
