Physical Literacy NWT is excited to welcome everyone back to our Community of Practice, with our first session taking place on September 15, 2026.
The Community of Practice is a place where people from every sector can come together to learn, share ideas, and build stronger, more active communities across the Northwest Territories. Whether you work in education, recreation, sport, health, Indigenous organizations, municipalities, youth programming, or simply have a passion for helping people move, you are welcome to join the conversation.
Each monthly session provides an opportunity to connect with others who are making a difference in their communities. Together, we will explore practical ideas, hear from guest speakers, discuss current challenges and successes, and learn from one another’s experiences. Every meeting is designed to be welcoming, informal, and focused on creating real solutions that help people of all ages become more active.
Our first session will focus on reconnecting the network, sharing updates from across the territory, and looking ahead at the opportunities for collaboration throughout the coming year.
The Community of Practice will continue to meet on the third Tuesday of every month at 12:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (Northern Time).
We believe that physical literacy grows through relationships. By bringing educators, coaches, recreation leaders, health professionals, volunteers, and community champions together, we can create more opportunities for people across the Northwest Territories to move with confidence, motivation, and joy.
We hope you will join us as we continue building a stronger, more connected North, one conversation at a time.
